On March 25, Car Concerns did it's final show on WNOX, as Harry Douglas finished the last show with record 43 call-ins answered in a two hour period. Mr. Douglas and his fast paced "Car Concerns" will continue broadcasting on The CarLane Network on The Horne Radio stations.

As Mr. Douglas left the studio's after the show he was ask to comment. " I have no immediate comment at this time...oh! wait, you know that's not right. There are many internal reasons for the split. Citadel Broadcasting as a whole, is a great radio network, however, they have piss-poor management at the lower, local levels. This new program director is a very jealous individual. On my last show, my sponsor called into the show and made an off-the-wall comment about the generous amount of money that I was paid to do the show. Evidently this mid-manager was listening and the wheels started turning. Money is always at the root." Harry put his gear in the trunk. "It was time to move anyhow, next week I will start doing Car Concerns from the Clear Channel Studio's of World Famous WLAC on Music Row...that's the difference in a Top 20 market place and the 77 market like Knoxville...you have to start some where!!!"

Car Concerns is one of the best sponsored radio shows in broadcasting, "That was an issue as well, my sponsors would sponsor my show exclusively, but shy away from other programing. It was a great place to be for a radio talk show host, picking and choosing my own sponsors and turning away the one's that I didn't feel fit the concept of Car Concerns. In order to get all the sponsorship in, I often went over the allotted time each hour, but I very rarely lost a caller and audience feedback was for the most part positive.. It's sad that it had to end like this, marred in jealously and contempt. I will go forward from here."

Mr. Douglas said that his wife and he would take a long over due vacation to Paris and return in time for Aprils National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas. Harry Douglas is scheduled to be one of the NAB's headliners.
