Car ConcernsRedflex, of Scottsdale, Ariz., operates the photo enforcement program for the city. Redflex issues a notice of violation to the registered owner of the offending vehicle after an officer at KPD reviews the digitally recorded violation.
Under the agreement, Redflex gets 85 percent of the first $4,500 generated each month by each camera. The city gets 50 percent of any revenues collected beyond that amount each month.
There is no way that this is about the safety of motorist, it's all about the money. These Red Light cameras will generate millions of dollars in revenue for the City Of Knoxville.
In these times of high gas prices and rising interest rates these Red Light Cameras are an insult to every hard working citizen.
