Biography Of An Automotive Giant

It was on the third Monday in August 2006. I had spent Saturday, Sunday and all of Monday in Nashville working on my Car Concerns radio show that I do at Clear Channel WLAC on Music Row.

I spent Monday meeting with sponsors and potential sponsors. Around 4:30 P.M. (CST) I traveled I-40 East bound towards my home in East Tennessee. When I arrived home after several stops along the way at around 9:30 P.M. (EST)it was dark. My wife was at work and had not left an outside light on. In the Moonlight I could see that there was a rather large box at the front door. I assumed that it was one of my many UPS drops from auto manufactures around the World wanting me to hawk their product on Car Concerns.

I picked it up and carried it into the kitchen and put it on the bar. After settling down and washing off my face, I grabbed a Coors Light out of the Fridge, and studied the package before me. No markings to indicate its orgin, just letters that spelled my name and obviously wrote with a black Sharpie, : To Harry...From Harry.

Curiousity grabbed me by the hand, and I tore into the box. It was full of papers, documents, VHS tapes, letters, to and from, along with a maroon leather zip up business journal. Years and years of these clendar books that Banks and Real Estate Brokers give at the end of every year. Three Micro-Recorders, a Sony, A Radio Shack, and a Panasonic. There were hundreds of the cassettes that went with these recorders.

There was no indication as to who had left this box of what was my late Father's personal affects and secrets. I was floored. One of the automotive giants in this country had kept such an exposing collection of articles and tapes that told the story of his storied life. What he loved the most and what he hated more than anything. His secret of failures, his secret to success. From what I could tell of a quick scan, it was all right here.

There were brown file envolpes by the hundreds. I found one that had my name on it and it was stuffed with thousand dollar bils, hundreds and hundreds of thousand dollar bills. A check for an ungodly amount of money drawn on a Bank that I had never even heard of. In this 9 x 12 brown clasp envolpe there was a letter from my Father telling his most deepest feelings. The P.S. instructed me to open and go through the Maroon Leather Journal. Names, letters, phone numbers, account numbers, email address's and sensitive data. Confessions laid in wait.

I drank my second beer and digested what this box meant. My Father was all about business and he was engaged in business with many big names, not only in Tennessee but from around the Nation, as well of the World. My Dad was a mover, my Dad was a shaker and shake he did.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I had imformation that my Dad had left me that could change the lives of many people drastically. Some very high up, some just common folk, some very religious, and some just plain dangerous. Bankers, Lawyers, Doctors, Real Estate Tycoons, Corporate Executives, and yes, a bunch of New Car Dealers. The Auto Manufactures would be standing on their heads over this revealing diatribe. Oh yea, my this man was a Free-Mason. The Secret Society that never wanted their deeds known.

Right then and there I knew I had to write my Dad's biograpy. I already had a title, "Secret Deals" that had Best Seller all about it. I was conviced that this book could reveal a side of business history that had never been known before. The ruthless side of life.

Prepare to have your heart broke! Prepare for the course of mankind to change! Prepare to learn about joy, kindness, cruelness and desparation! Prepare for a business lesson lake none taught at the Harvard Business School.

Little did I know that the journey was only beginning. I am working feverishly on this body of work. It is so consuming, taking ever spare minute and causing me to lose many hours of sleep has I investigate the contents of the box. Demons were right here, revealing and ready to strike in an instant.
