Be Positive and Think Big! That's The Message Terry Kohl of Media Management Marketing

Dear automotive friends and colleagues,

Over the holidays I gave great thought to the fact that there is little in mainstream media to be enthused about. In our own industry, loss, fear, blame and lack of responsibility dominate the news. There is plenty of fear out there, leaving people very uneasy of what the future may bring.

So, what if we chose to be fearless? What if in the face of all the negative news we did not to allow worries to dictate our thoughts? What if we announced to ourselves today that we are going to take time to evaluate our fears and ask, "how are these fears serving me?"

Hmmm….what if?

The Law of Attraction says that people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives. There's a lot more to it but essentially if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it. The flip side is that putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.

We sometimes focus on what we do not want thinking that is the key to keeping it at bay. “I do not want to lose my job. I do not want to start over. I do not want to lose my home” and a host of other “I don’ts." These are powerful thoughts with a lot of emotion behind them and according to the Law of Attraction, the more powerful the thought, the more likely the outcome that it will manifest into our lives and, guess what? Whether we understand it or not, we are using this Law all the time.

What if you learned how it works and used it to only attract experiences that empowered you?

In my book, Lost Your Job? Now What! there is a great example of how powerful the mind can be.

Denis Waitley, one of America’s most respected authors, keynote lecturers and productivity consultants on high-performance human achievement, implemented what he called Visual Motor Rehearsal into the U.S. Olympics program. He and his researchers hooked athletes up to sophisticated feedback equipment. They then had the athletes compete in their event, but ONLY IN THEIR MIND.

An incredible thing happened. The very same nervous reactions occurred in their bodies as when the athletes competed in real life. The same muscles fired, heart rates speeded up, and breathing increased. This was a clear indication that the mind cannot tell the difference between an actual event and a vividly imagined one.

What if our lives included an ongoing process of evaluating our fears and eliminating them when they no longer serve us? Having the courage to change is sometimes difficult, but in these times, change is vital.

If you are having fear based thoughts, it’s time to change.

Fear-less practices:

• In every moment I choose to feel that the highest and best outcome is being orchestrated for me.
• I choose thoughts that are positive and hopeful, and avoid negative messages and people.
• I create a joyful life for myself by living in the moment and avoiding the fear creating “what ifs.”
• I will not be a victim of disconnection and fear, and I commit to living a powerful, positive and happy life.

Have a fear or challenge that you've overcome? Let's hear it! This monthly newsletter will be all about empowering one another.

Supporting you!
