2010 Detroit Auto Show - Buick Regal GS

Bookmark and Share

At the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, Buick showed a GS version of the Regal they just debuted at the LA show only a month ago. Buick has long been an innovator when it comes to forced induction and this latest GS continues that tradition.

The 2011 Buick Regal GS will come with a turbocharged Ecotec 2.0 liter four cylinder engine. It should be good for 255 hp and sends power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. A lowered ride height, 20-inch wheels and more aggressive front end treatment are just a few reasons the new Regal GS looks like a lot more than your average Regal. And if you're still not sure of this Regal's street cred consider the fact that it's based on the European Opel Insignia - a car that was awarded Car of the Year in Europe. A badass Buick? Yep - think of this 2011 Buick Regal GS as just the latest in a long line of killer Buicks like the Skylark GS, GSX and Regal GNX.
